Discover Tomahawk
For over fifty years, Tomahawk Scout Reservation has been changing the lives of countless young men from around the world. Encompassing over 3,000 acres and eight miles of shoreline on beautiful Long Lake, in northwestern Wisconsin, Tomahawk is the destination for thousands of Boy Scouts, Webelos, and adult leaders every summer.
Three separate Boy Scout sub-camps (Sioux, Chippewa, & White Pine) and a second year Webelos camp called Navajo exist within the borders of Tomahawk. With four sub-camps, thousands of Scouts, and miles of property Tomahawk has tremendous resources for Scouts to enjoy.
Some of the highlights of Tomahawk include:
- Forty-eight campsites, spread between the four sub-camps. Campsites are wooded, spacious, and the majority are located on some sort of waterfront.
- Each sub-camp offers over 30 merit badges-including some unique badges such as Small Boat Sailing, Climbing, Horsemanship, and Shotgun Shooting.
- A first-rate high adventure program, including a newly constructed high ropes COPE course, an extreme 60-foot climbing tower, and a sea kayaking program on Lake Superior.
- A 100-foot fire tower, from which one can see the entire Reservation
- A bison farm with fifty American bison.
