Family Island Policies and Reminders

Check-in will be handled at the Central Services/Administration Building. A $50 refundable deposit by cash or check is required for all keys issued.  This deposit is returned upon check out by the Family Island Director. The Family Island Director will set appointments with campers to check out on Saturday morning.

Indoor Restrooms and Showers – Our tent/trailer site guests may use indoor restroom and shower facilities which are available at the Central Service Lodge. Our cabins have full size baths in each unit.

Health and Medical Forms – Every person staying at Family Island will need to present a health history form upon check in. The form does not require a doctor's signature.

Camp Medical Services – In case of an accident or illness at camp, first aid services will be provided by a camp health officer without charge.  Should the condition of the patient require removal to a hospital, home, or placed under the care of the family physician, the related expenses are a family responsibility. Tomahawk Scout Reservation DOES NOT carry health and accident insurance on campers. Most families are covered by their HMO or other types of health and accident insurance. Transportation is the responsibility of the family unless the situation warrants an ambulance.
