White Pine Camp
White Pine is the newest of Tomahawk’s sub-camps, founded in 1994. White Pine is the smallest of the three Boy Scout sub-camps, with ten campsites.
- Campsites feature raised platforms for tents, with the canvas tents already set up upon the troop’s arrival.
- Troops eat family style in one of two open-air, log dining shelters. The staff eats lunch and dinner with the troops, providing songs, updates on program, and entertainment.
- White Pine offers 32 merit badges including favorites such as sailing, horsemanship, climbing, wilderness survival, rifle shooting, and more.
- White Pine also has a unique program, in that every Wednesday is Outpost Day. This means a day free from merit badges, and dedicated to troop activities and alternative programs unlike those offered during the rest of the week.
- On Wednesdays, troops are provided with breakfast and dinner ingredients, which they cook themselves. Wednesday lunch is Cheeseburgers in Paradise, which is prepared by the staff.
- White Pine appeals to troops looking for the smaller-camp atmosphere, raised platforms for the tents, and a unique dining experience.
