Q. What year(s) were you on Tomahawk staff?
A. 2000-2007, 2012 & 2013

 

Q. What was your position(s)?
A. Navajo Program, Archery, Trading Post, White Pine Eco Dir, Shotgun, Foxfire Dir, Sioux Scoutcraft Dir, Operations Dir.

 

Q. What was happening at Tomahawk during your tenure?  What was new?
A. We got the new fire tower, Navajo finally got an Ecology Building.  Navajo completely overhauled the program.  The bison fields were added 

 

Q. What was your most memorable experience?
A. The bison escaping, at least twice :D 

 

Q. How did your experience at Tomahawk affect your life?
A. The ways I interact with people to this day are affected.  I learned a lot on how to read people, be an active participant in a conversation, and how to follow through after.  I also made many lifelong friends working there.

 

Q. What was your favorite place in camp?
A. Outpost 

Q. Do you have any advice for the current staff?
A. Stay up late occasionally, have fun with your fellow staff members.  Get outside your comfort zone, try new things.

 

Q. When was your last visit to Tomahawk?  What was different?
A. I visit Tomahawk all the time! Block Schedule was a new concept to me, but I think it was a great thing to change  

 

Q. What is your current occupation / affiliation with Scouting, etc?
A. I am a campmaster at Fred C. Andersen, and I still work at Snowbase in the winter

 

Q. Which former staff members do you keep in touch with?
A. Jake Ericson, Cody miller, and  Jason Omohundro

 

Q. Any other comments you would like to share about your time at camp?
A. I frequently had opportunities to take higher paying jobs, but I chose to come back to camp each time.  I encourage you all to do the same, and come back and volunteer as much as you can.
