A. Scout craft and High Adventure
Q. What was happening at Tomahawk during your tenure? What was new?
A. New Explorers program, new methods for organizing overnight trips for the Treks program. 2 staff being certified whitewater instructors!
Q. What was your most memorable experience?
A. All the overnights with High Adventure - some of the best ways to connect with the scouts and other counselors around dinner and the campfire!
Q. How did your experience at Tomahawk affect your life?
A. It showed me that I loved teaching - and now I’ve been a licensed teacher for 3 years!
Q. What was your favorite place in camp?
A. Sioux Beach
Q. Do you have any advice for the current staff?
A. Never underestimate how much of an impression you leave on scouts. I had scouts from 2010 that saw me again 5 years later and still remembered vivid details from my climbing merit badge class!
Q. When was your last visit to Tomahawk? What was different?
A. 2017 - we had just gotten the big catamaran - the orca!

A. It was the best decision I ever made.
